I have issues with how society expects people to grow up.
When you're a toddler, you spend your time playing and learning words so you can go to school. Then, when you know enough words, you go to kindergarten so you can learn how to make letters and numbers so you can learn how to do math and read and write so you can go to elementary school. In elementary school, you prepare for middle school. In middle school, you learn so you can get into high school. High schools are often known as "college preparatory schools." You work hard in high school so you can do well on the ACT and/or SAT and so you can write good enough essays to get into a good college. THEN, in college, you work hard so you can graduate so you can get a good job. You want a good job so you can be well off in life and so you can raise children that know how to read so THEY can go to school. What's the point?
